Directed by Yu Je-won, Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha is a Korean Drama that first aired on TvN on August 28, 2021, and the following episode airs every weekend. The show is also streaming on Netflix for its international fans. The story revolves around the love story, Yoon Hye-jin, aka Miss Dentist, and a local man named Hong Du-Shik, aka Chief Hong. Even though it may sound like an average love story, but the story goes beyond that; it goes on to reveal the deepest and darkest secrets of its lead characters.
Let Us Take a Look Back at the Previous Episodes
Previously on the show, we have seen that is dentist, and Chief Hong has expressed their feelings for one another. They sealed their relationship with a kiss. We have also seen that Seong-Hyun Hye-jin’s college senior has expressed his romantic feelings towards Hye-jin. She has politely turned him down, saying that she has developed feelings for some other person.
We have also seen how Miss Dentist and Hong Du-shik tried to keep their relationship private. Still, they failed to do so as the villagers found out about their relationship and wanted to separate them so that they do not keep their relationship as a secret any longer. Finally, both Miss Dentist and Chief Hong decided that they would make their relationship public.
Chief Hong and Miss Dentist become more comfortable as a couple, and they hang out on a few occasions. Hye-jin makes a bucket list of things for them to do as a couple. Both of them go on their first proper date, where Hye-jin buys clothes for Du-shik; at the mall, they come across another man who happens to be Du-shik’s college friend, and Du-shik gets distracted after meeting him. Hye-jin notices the change in his behavior and blames herself and her shopping spree. She feels bad about her purchase and sells the diamond necklace, which she thinks is the root of all problems.
Later, Chief Hong sets up a tent by the beach and takes Hye-jin there, and they spend some romantic time. He also tells her that he does not mind her spending her hard-earned money and gifts her a jewelry box that he made for her. Hye-jin is impressed by her boyfriend’s level of maturity, and the episode ends with a kiss between the two.
What to Expect from the Thirteenth Episode?
The anticipated episode 13 of Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha is set to hit the screens on October 09, 2021. This episode will give us a few answers to Du-shik’s past, his reason behind the consumption of medications. Hye-Jin stumbles upon a picture of a woman and a baby in Du-shik’s book. This has given birth to a few questions in Hye-jin’s mind. It is expected that this episode will give answers to those questions.
Also, they help a fellow villager, Yoon-Kyeong, in giving birth to her second child. While they are going to their hospital, it acts as a triggering agent for Du-shik’s trauma. There is an expected point of contact with Du-shik’s college friend, who made an appearance at the mall. The audience is eagerly waiting for this fun series with romance to take a different turn and see how Miss Dentist and Chief Hong deal with their respective baggage and balance their relationship.
