What Our Critic Has To Say?

The full reversal of traditional gender patterns is the fundamental factor that distinguishes this show as unique and innovative. The ruler is forced to behave like an adult, but she never does so based on foolish prejudices. She rarely backed away from displaying compassion and sensitivity while still demonstrating her strength, independence, and fearlessness.

And then there is the guy protagonist, who is absolutely incredible to watch all through the series because he is so devoted, powerful, and passionate of his affections for the one he adores, no matter who that individual is. Rowoon’s performance will continue to surprise you, and you’ll like the variety of his final appearances more than any other.

Comedy is where you’ll appreciate him the most, and this program brings out the best in him. All of the actors’ decisions make perfect logic and are in tune with their characters from beginning to end. This isn’t an overly dramatic and overblown narrative with foreseeable outcomes, so you’ll be engaged until the conclusion. We recommend that you watch this series since it is well worth your time.

Storyline Without Spoilers

The story is set during the Joseon Dynasty when newborns were considered terrible omen. As a result, the daughter is ordered to be slain when the Crown Princess Consort gives birth. She is covertly transferred to a different castle to protect her. Dami, the twin sister, comes to the castle a few years down the line to serve as a servant.

When Lee Hwi, the male twin, dies due to a wrong discovery, their mother, who recognizes her child as royal servant Dami, convinces her to assume Lee Hwi’s position. Despite her attempts to remove herself from everyone, Yi Hwi begins to develop affections for Jung Ji-Woon, her first love and subsequently instructor from an aristocratic family.

Stream It Or Skip It

STREAM IT. The King’s Affection seems wonderful and has promise despite a few setbacks. There were no needless corny sequences in the plot, which made it distinct and wonderful. Fans of Korean dramas will most likely devour it, leaving the rest of us to consider the dramatic potential of an Office of Eunuchs spinoff.

The only word in the dictionary which can describe Lokesh well is "Curious". He is a man who sits in the corner of a café, sipping his coffee and watch others and write about them having a good time. Addicted to bettering himself each day. An impressive introvert who finds his home in the places he travels. It's either the power of universe or sunsets that sets his soul free. In between, He can be found wrapped in his own bubble, knitting stories even before the sun rises!
