What’s the Storyline?

The story is mainly about Beth, a successful woman in her career as a wine distributor living in Manhattan. To others, her life seems all perfect and peaceful cause her life seems okay from all aspects. She is also in a long-term relationship with a so-called nice and successful guy. But things start changing when she starts having sudden flashbacks of her teenage life.

Now, the past can be beautiful and painful according to what you went through, and for Beth, she has faced it all. The flashbacks weren’t only fun, but most importantly, they made her realize who she is and how she became who she is.

Should the Series be Streamed or Skipped?

The series will be worth watching as the storyline is unique yet straightforward, revolving around one central character Beth and her newfound love, John. The series will contain ten episodes, all including romance and comedy. It will be a good show for someone wanting a new concept with the perfect balance of romance and comedy.

Also, the show’s leads are well known for their comical roles in the past, and it will be interesting to see their equation in the brand new series. The series will be released on the USA’s streaming platform Hulu on March 18, 2022. It will have an international release on Disney+, which is confirmed, but the makers’ release date isn’t confirmed yet.

Where is the Story Taken From?

The storyline of Life&Beth is interestingly a semi-autobiographical work of Amy Schumer. The story is taken partly from her own life experience. In an interview, she said how her father has restored an old farm from the 1790s and how much she loved going to that farm as a kid. But when her family went bankrupt, they had to sell the place.

When Schumer became successful, she decided to buy the place and bring it back to life as her father did. When she was pregnant, she often went and spent days on the farm daydreaming and having a peaceful break, and during that time, the story came to her mind, and she knew that she had to write it down and make it into a show.
