Thriller Drama Television Show “Light the Night” is currently in the news for getting into the trending series at the moment. Light the Night is a Chinese murder mystery show. Earlier, it had been known by the title “Blue Horror.”  The thriller TV series is a Taiwanese Netflix original release of 2021.

With Lien Yi-Chi sitting in the director’s chair, the series is written by Ryan Tu. Starting with famous Chinese actors Ruby Lin, Yo Yang, and Cheryl Yang in the lead, the show seems to be a must-watch for mystery hungry audience.

The first season of Light The Night made a worldwide release on November 26, 2021, on Netflix. Although, its first two episodes made a debut at The 58th Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival four days before the global release. The first part of the thriller cum drama series consists of eight episodes.

Every episode runs for 45– 50 minutes. Viewers can find the first part of the show currently airing on Netflix. The series is moderately paced with good enough twists and plots to make it to your watch list.

About the TV Series “Light the Night”

With a 1988 backdrop, the series dawns in the Red Light District of Taipei. It highlights the lifestyle, love angles, and the problems of the club madam and the hostess women there. The show kicks off by showing a group of people who come across a half up half burried hand in the middle of the woods. However, expectedly or unexpectedly, the dead body isn’t what the entire story revolves around.

The focus of the series is the women from Light Bar in Taipei. Need to remind that the dead body found in the forest was a person initially murdered in the bar after the happening of a series of events. Yet, the conundrum regarding the identity of the dead is dealt with post the drama that surrounds the lives of these females and their earnest attempts at survival in this cruel world of today.

The stages of jealousy, friendship, and competition existing among the women at Light Bar are what attract eyes to the show. The ladies at this bar in Taipei don’t just work for a livelihood, but they also carry with themselves a bag of hopes, desires, and emotions. Fans find it really fascinating to see these women struggle with their life and relationship issues. The show brings emotions of empathy and focuses on these women’s needs and feelings.

Light the Night-Cast & Characters: Who All Are There?

The show stars Chinese actors Ruby Lin and Tony Yang in the lead, playing the roles of Rose aka Luo Yu-Nung and Pan Wen-cheng, respectively. We also have Cheryl Yang playing Sue, Rhydian Vaughan as Chiang Han, and Derek Chang in the role of He Yu-en. The co-starred include Cammy Chiang as Yaya, Zhang Kuang-Chen as Ah-ta, and Wei Jie Hu as Hsiao-hao.

There are also some guest appearances by actors Wallace, Joe Cheng, Jacob Wang, and XiuJie-kai. Other actors like Lee Lee-zen, KagamiTomohisa, Nakamura Masao, and Chung Heng Chu also join this list.
