Married at First Sight is a reality television show that follows couples who meet for the first time at their wedding. In the series, a group of singles consents to marry individuals chosen for them by a bunch of experts. These singles meet their probable partners for the first time at their wedding. The reality television series first dropped on FYI on July 8, 2014. It later moved to the Lifetime channel.
Married at First Sight has completed its thirteenth season in 2021. A total of forty-nine couples matched, only twenty-nine chose to remain married. The series has a success rate of 27 percent up until November 2021. The American reality show is adapted from the Danish series named Gift VedFørsteBlik.
The Release of Married at First Sight Season 14
Season 14 of the show will debut on January 5, 2022, on the Lifetime network channel every Wednesday at 8 PM EST/ PST. According to the show’s premise, it will feature singles from Boston who have consented to get married to a stranger by taking advice from the team of experts comprising of Dr. Schwartz, Dr. Coles, and Pastor Cal.
These former singles (now couples) will try to adjust their lives according to their marriage. They will spend eight weeks together after their honeymoon. After the designated time is up, they will have to make the decision to whether to continue their marriage and live happily ever after or get an annulment/ divorce.
What to Know Before Watching Married at First Sight Season 14?
Ten contestants, also singles, consent to marriage to find their true soulmate. However, the twist is that they meet their partners for the first time at the altar. Before leaving for their honeymoon, the couples spend a night together in a hotel. After returning, they try to live as a married couple for another eight weeks.
After the completion of those eight weeks, it is up to the couples whether they chose to remain married and spend their lives together or get an annulment/ divorce.
The Cast of Married at First Sight Season 14
The experts of the 14th series will be Dr. Pepper Schwartz, Dr. Viviana Coles, and Pastor Calvin, who will decide and match the singles. The series will focus on the singles from Boston. People.com has announced the names of the singles, and they are Jasmina and Michael, Katina and Olajuwon, Lindsay and Mark, Noi and Steve, and Alyssa and Chris. Jamie Otis will host the show.
