The final episode 10 of season 5 of Money Heist saw The Professor, amidst his crowd of supporters, walk into the bank and get surrounded by the authorities. He sees the heist gang all dejected and disheartened.
He gets questioned by Tamayo right away about the missing gold, and the official also tells everyone the charges they would have to face. He offers the opportunity of giving a new life to the one who would tell him about the lost gold.
But The Professor is a man with a plan always ready. With some external help, he leaks the video of him telling how he managed to befool the Royal Bank of Spain. This leads to the country’s downfall as stock markets begin to crash. With the country’s economic status crippling, the Heist team panics, and Denver is just about to hand himself over but somehow stopped.
And when his plan with Sierra to get the gold also fails, he still has an ace up his sleeves. Suddenly the gold is returned to the authorities with the country’s situation reversed. It is revealed that actually, it was brass painted as gold to make people realize that wealth and fortune are mere illusions.
What Happens Towards The End?
Now that the situation is cooled, our beloved heist team has been given brand new passports and thus new lives. Denver rekindles with Stockholm and confesses to being with her forever, and jokingly admits to The Professor that he almost blew the plan with his last act.
The teammates say goodbye to The Professor and leave in a helicopter to begin their lives afresh with the required money. Meanwhile, The Professor asks Sierra about the gold, who then says that it has been hidden in the small house built by Tatiana and Rafael and is on its journey to Portugal!
