O bella ciao, bella ciao, bella ciao, ciao, ciao.Money Heist, also titled La Casa De Papel, is a Spanish Netflix mystery thriller that rose to prominence in 2018. Ever since, the series was a genuine wild ride, for each season introducing new elements of risk and constant pressure.
The plot revolves around an odd bunch of criminals commanded by a mysterious Professor who aims to pull off one of the most flawless heists in Spanish history by robbing 2.4 billion euros from Spain’s royal mint. However, the following seasons broaden out beyond here, with several diversions, twists, and unexpected surprises all along the path.
Cast and Characters
Ursula Corberó plays the role of Silene Oliveira, named Tokyo: a runner who turns thief who also is spotted by the Professor, later enters his gang and helps him carry out his goals. She also plays the untrustworthy narrator.Álvaro Morte plays Sergio Marquina, also called The Professor or Salvador, the genius of such crime that put the crew together, and Berlin’s younger brother.
We were disappointed when the show ended since the professor had successfully tugged at our heartstrings. His hairstyle was a notable one, stylish indeed! Raquel Murillo, aka Lisbon, is played by Itziar Ituo, a National Police inspector, Andres de Fonollosa, aka Berlin, portrayed by Pedro Alonso, is an ill thief as well as the Professor’s second in charge and elder brother.
They are the main cast, but the last seasons feature a large number of different performers. Agustin Ramos is played by Paco Tous, popularly known as Moscow, Alba Flores plays Agata Jimenez popularly Nairobi. Miguel Herran is in the role of Anibal Cortes, called as Rio.
Will there be a Sixth Season?
Unfortunately, no! Alex Pina, the film director, has stated that the series would terminate at the end of Season 5’s tale. Nevertheless, a South Korean version is now in the works for such a near future, so keep watch for just that.
This might excite the Korean drama fans! Yes, the Korean media has always done an excellent job with their movies and dramas, right from Oscar award-winning parasite to squid game and penthouse! The Korean version will also be a massive hit! Moreover, the trailers of the last season clearly showed that this would be the finale!
Popularity and Reception
Money Heist is one of Netflix’s most popular and well-received shows! Though the squid game was a sudden hit across countries, the Spanish thriller never left the viewers’ hearts. Rotten Tomatoes gave the show a 100% rating. This clearly shows how the audience loves it; IMDb gave a solid 8.2/10.
