Is Munich: The Edge of War Worth Watching or Not?

Many movies based on World War II have tried their best to capture the audiences’ attention, but Munich: The Edge of War is slightly different from the rest and shows various things that led to the war. The story is portrayed in a classic form and is a reminder of the fact that a dictator can easily influence a nation.

Based on a book, the film is set in 1938 when Europe was just on the verge of a war. Adolf Hitler was planning to invade Czechoslovakia. Neville Chamberlain, the British PM of that time, wanted a peaceful solution instead of a war. George MacKay is seen playing the role of Hugh Legat, who is a civil servant of Britain. He becomes a spy with a mission to stop Hitler from declaring war.

Hugh’s friend Paul von Hartman works for the German government, and these two together become spies to prevent the war. Real people do not inspire the characters of Legat and von Hartmann. They have been made with a mission to minimize the powers of Hitler. Jeremy Irons is seen playing the role of Neville Chamberlain MacKay in the movie.

On Rotten Tomatoes, the movie is rated 96% based on 26 reviews, and the average rating is 6.7/10. On Metacritic, there were mixed reviews, and it was rated 57/100 based on 8 reviews from the critics.

Our Take: Stream it. The movie is a good watch.

The only word in the dictionary which can describe Lokesh well is "Curious". He is a man who sits in the corner of a café, sipping his coffee and watch others and write about them having a good time. Addicted to bettering himself each day. An impressive introvert who finds his home in the places he travels. It's either the power of universe or sunsets that sets his soul free. In between, He can be found wrapped in his own bubble, knitting stories even before the sun rises!
