My Liberation Notes has been the latest sensation among everyone who loves Korean shows. The amazing story and popularity have been the talk worldwide. The story has Yeom siblings have a unique story with their individual journeys and self-realization when they try their best to escape their mundane lives. They found a new path when they had no hope left. The stranger had a big role to play, and with how the story went, we can very well say that the Yeom siblings can be the much-needed strangers in others’ lives.
What Is My Liberation Notes?
The series is about the Yeom siblings. The oldest one is Yeom Ki-Jeong who spends her life working for a research company but actually wants to find a soulmate quickly as she will become forty soon. The middle one is Yeom Chang-hee, who is facing difficulties in doing something while working at the headquarters of a convenience store franchise. The youngest one is Yeom Mi-Jeong, the wildest sibling working in the design department of a credit card company who is secretly becoming more vacant emotionally. The siblings live with their father who isn’t much into talking, and their mother, the keeper of their family’s peace.
Their lives take a different turn when the enigmatic Mr. Gu arrives to work for their father’s business. The audience is just informed of his last name, and we see him working with the father silently. We get a glimpse of his alcoholic habits.
Eventually, we see Gu and Mi-Jeong becoming a couple. The latter opening up a ‘Liberation Club’, while Chang-hee starts looking up to him. Ki-Jeong falls in love with Cho Tae-hun, a single father and a member of the Liberation Club.
The series, written and directed by Park Hae-young and Kim Seok-Yoon respectively, has been a great help to the watchers. The series shows us how our lives have become as some of us are living just for the sake of living. It shows us how the characters break out from their self-imposed barriers and how taking little risks can be actually worth your happiness.

My Liberation Notes Ending Explained
Are you confused about the ending too? Many people did not understand what actually happened to the Yeom siblings. Did they finally get their happily ever after?
In the last episode, there might not have been too much hugging, but Mi-Jeong said that right now, she just feels love. After this, she turns her back, and Gu is seen moving forward. So, we can conclude that Mi-Jeong and Gu made and got their happily ever after.
Gu apparently stopped drinking. In the end, we saw him walking away, leaving the bottle of alcohol behind.
Chang-hee, who wanted to do something happening in his life, resigned and worked at a convenience shop, where the regular interaction with his childhood friend has given him the life force he was looking for. In the last episode, we see him enrolling in a lecture class.
In the end, we finally see Ki-Jeong starting a new life with Tae Hun.
