Each episode has a duration of 39 to 47 minutes, and in this article, we will tell if this 6 episode series is worth watching or not.
Stream It Or Skip It?
The Turkish crime thriller series was written by Ozgur Onurme. This series packs an interesting punch to its viewers as this TV series has an interesting concept behind it. Watching this series would sometimes give you a passionate urge to commit murder. The viewers would learn what happens when someone acts on pure emotions.
During the first episode, the audience will see that people from the high society are murdered. It is not done because Fatma is defending herself; it can be seen that the urge comes because of tension and fear. The series is a strong thriller primarily because of the strong acting by the cast and especially by Burcu Biricik who played the role of Fatma in the series, and the supporting cast of the series was amazing.
The shots of the series were beautiful. As someone who has never been to Turkey, it was fascinating to see the towers and themed cafes. The story is gripping and it is stuffed with a familiar theme. There are so many interesting things about this series, and this is one of many reasons, there’s a character called The Author who sits to have a conversation with Fatma to understand her feelings and thoughts.
About The Show
Here, two things can be witnessed. Firstly, as an author he is interested in learning the emotions and what kind of a person Fatma is, and secondly as an author, he is having a mental conversation with a character, and the conversations are not flat or absurd, it is deep and layered, making the audience crave for more screen-time for the Author.
Even though I am a regular watcher of Turkish series, I’ve never come across such a series that has such a typical plot and the complexity of the plot is handled so effortlessly. Apart from the plot, the characters of the series are well thought out and they’re beautifully written and the way the cast delivered the dialogues and their body language made the scenes more dramatic.
Such characteristics invite more viewers, and while watching the show it will teach you how to see and hear people. Overall, crime thriller and psychological connoisseurs would love this series.
Critic’s Opinion
In my opinion, Fatma is a spine-chilling thriller that would give a kick to its viewers. It would show how Fatma is sinking into violence. The show manages to build more tension as the story progresses. Moreover, there is no sex and skin so you can watch it with your family members as well.
Where to Watch?
Fatma is a Netflix Original show. As a result, it means that this thriller show is available to stream solely on Netflix. Since the show is a Netflix original it will not be available on other renowned platforms such as Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, HBO Max, or Paramount+.
If you enjoy watching TV series, movies, and anime then having a membership on Netflix would not be a bad deal as it starts from 10 dollars per month which would give you unlimited access to all its exclusive series and movies as well.
The Plot of the Series
The plot of the series revolves around Fatma, a window cleaner who commits an unexpected murder while searching for Zafer; his missing husband who was recently released from jail. The series shows how desperate Fatma is to find her husband. She needs to continue killing people because of one murder she committed.
