This time we are talking about the famous American Medical Drama series known by the name New Amsterdam. It is an adaptation of a book called Twelve Patients: Life and Death at Bellevue Hospital by Eric Manheimer. The show’s first season came on screens on September 25, 2018, on the NBC platform.
As we know, it is already season 4 so let’s get to know what happened in the last episode before moving on to the details about the fifth one.
What Happened In The Last Episode?
The last episode is known by the name Seed Money. Here we find Max and Helen preparing for their departure but somehow are fixed to Max’s society-oriented endeavors.
On the other side, we have Lauren, whose love was becoming obsessed until she decided to confront her faults, which enables her to avoid the mistake she was about to commit. She even asks for help from Iggy to save her relationship with Leyla. Then the scene shifts to a diabetes patient whose critical case is taken up by Casey and Lauren.
And then there is Kerry, whose condition does not seems to be right as she has taken pills for skin whitening. This decision is the sum-up of all the racial pressure that she feels around her, so her husband meets Iggy for help on this case. Helen has started a breast health exploration campaign where everyone can get them diagnosed, but it is shut down, unfortunately.
Karen gives the responsibilities of the hospital to Veronica, who keeps making comments towards Max on his task. She feels that the extra effort he puts into the poor people is a total waste. However, Max seems to be unaffected by all this and keeps his calm while following his heart.
New Amsterdam Season 4 Episode 5 Speculations!
The fifth episode is titled ‘This Be the Verse,’ here, we might find Max losing his temper as Dr. Fuentes seems to be putting her own rules for the system as a whole, and this might turn max off. He has been patient for quite a long time, and we know how much extra effort does he put into the hospital.
So, the question comes what decision he will be taking. Besides this, Max will be seen going out of his way to help some patients. Bloom will be seen in some distress due to her mother.
