This American drama series is a complete spin-off. With just the first season insight, we know that it’s got a long way to go. And the story is based on Kanan Stark. He was also known for his performance in Power. He was there to be seen for the first and second season, and now with a giant leap, he has reached the set of being the protagonist for Power book III : Raising Kanan.
Kanan has a really cruel childhood. He was under the guidance of gangsters, and they too were led by his mother named Raquel. At the age of ten, he was attacked by the bullies for the cash that he possessed. Like any normal child, he returned home to let his mother know of this incident; the mother was hell-bent on raising a child like herself, so she pushed him back to go and fight those boys because it happened with him, and he was solely responsible for it.
He was given an ultimatum that if he could face the boys there, he would have to face his mother instead. The boy shuddered at the thought and decided to put all his efforts into bringing down those boys rather than his mother.
What did Kanan do Before Power?
He had trained Tommy and Ghost. He taught them the subtle art of living on the streets. And all this while he trained these two, he was their mentor, but the ghost was secretly plotting against him because he wanted to take over everything that Kanan had.
He even had a child of his own, named Shawn Stark. But soon after that, he was put behind the bars and his memories blurred with him.
What is Episode 8 About?
Well, we’re about to enter into the most emotional part of the season now. And how could this be avoided? This would be Kanan’s initial attempt to get into the game, and that it dawns on him that this wouldn’t be easy for him at all. But hope is something that helps us to cling to difficult situations.
Kanan has taken up a lot of lives. Whether it was just to test others or that he even tried texting it on Jukebox’s girlfriend. This happened right when their romance was budding. And you know what the outcome could be.
We can expect episode 8 to dive in through all the drama. In short, we know that because of his actions, Kanan will lose his good reputation and that he would be held responsible for all the cracks. And when his mother gets to know this, it would be wrong. Really bad because that’s going to question her upbringing.
