Created by Dan Erickson, Severance is an AppleTV exclusive series, executively produced by Chris Black, Dan Erickson, Ben Stiller, Nicky Weinstock, Jackie Cohn, Mark Friedman, and Andrew Colville.
The series is currently running on its 4th episode of season 1. The 5th episode will release on 11th March 2020 and more episodes coming out every Friday exclusively on AppleTv.
The show garnered a very generous 90% audience score and 8.1 on IMDb. Currently, at only episode 5 of the 9 episodes this season, the fans already can’t get over it.
Severance: Synopsis
Severance is a procedure that divides you into two- professional you and a person you called innie and outie respectively. This division makes the other forget what the other is going through and in the process sweeping a lot of dirt under the carpet. Everything changes for our protagonist when he comes across a person.
The Story so Far
The previous episode ended with a cliffhanger and the series is getting darker as new mysteries are surfacing, especially episode 4.
Mark and Helly are starting to really be affected by the whole situation of being an outie and an innie and Helly tries to commit suicide in the elevator but is saved. She will probably be sent to the break room and because there is something like a break room, did someone in the past break past like our two protagonists? Which led to the creation of something as a break room?
They also find a book called, “The You You Are” which reveals many secrets. Someone seems to have deliberately tailored it for them to find. After the death of Mark’s wife and Pete, Mark has more trouble suppressing the feeling and the effect of the severance seems to be thinning.
Cobel seems to notice this change and he takes Mark to the Wellness room where Mark makes a clay tree and remembers it or has a weird familiar feeling and he visits the tree later. This could possibly lead to a big blow out which will ripple till the last episode of the season and be the catalyst to the ultimate story peak.
The Grim Barbarity of Optics and Design: Episode 5 Predictions
The new episode is airing this Friday and oh boy, was the previous episode a complete cliffhanger. It had left many viewers on the edge of the chairs, clinching their teeth.
After the stunt Helly pulled the stunt in the previous episode in an attempt to resign; she will most definitely be punished in the New Episode and more background stories might be revealed about Helly
