The third season just dropped on Netflix, and fans are already wondering about Sex Education Season 4. One of the most popular shows on Netflix, the British drama landed with a bang. It received immense appreciation from the fans as well as the critics. Set in Moordale High, the British teen drama revolves around a bunch of high school teenagers who are dealing with several issues as they grow up.
The drama focuses on several issues such as sexuality, relationship problems, love, romance, tragedy, and basic teenage problems. After spawning three blockbuster seasons, fans are quite excited to know about the fate of the drama series. Here’s everything we know about it.
Let’s Recap
Before we discuss Sex Education Season 4, let’s have a quick recap about the previous season. Season 3 opens up with the students enjoying their summer holidays just before the commencement of a new school year. Otis and Maeve are ignoring each other while the former is having a casual relationship with Ruby. On the other hand, Maeve is leaving Moordale and going to the United States for an academic program. Besides that, she is quite worried about her mother’s drug addiction.
Jean informs Jacob about her pregnancy, and the latter moves in with her along with his daughter, Ola. Moreover, Moordale High is on the verge of shutting down as the school investors have decided to stop the funding. Mrs. Hope, the new headmistress, tries her best to implement discipline in the school but fails in her attempt. Despite her rules and regulations, things go wrong at the school.
Eventually, she leaves Moordale High. Towards the end of season 3, we see Otis and Maeve giving a second chance to their friendship. Meanwhile, Maeve leaves for America, leaving Moordale behind.
Will there be a Sex Education Season 4?
So far, we haven’t heard any news about the renewal of Sex Education Season 4. But we are quite positive about it. The third season ended with major cliffhangers. Will Moordale High really shut down? If it shuts down, what will the students do? Moreover, when will Maeve return? How will Otis cope with Maeve’s departure? Besides that, what happens to Jean’s baby? Was she able to give birth despite all the complications? Keeping all these questions in mind, we are quite hopeful about the fourth season.
Although we haven’t heard anything regarding a new season, we think that Netflix will come up with a fourth installment.
Release Date
If Netflix renews the show in the upcoming few months, we assume that the filming will commence sometime this fall. However, the show is not yet renewed, and there are no official statements about it. Well, if productions begin this fall, we might see Sex Education season in the summer of 2022.
The show is very well-known for bringing new casts every season. So, we are looking forward to that too. The first two seasons of the franchise were released a year apart from each other. Besides that, season 3 also had to face quite a lot of delay. Keeping all that in mind, we are hoping to see a new season sometime next year.
