Tyler Perry, the famed filmmaker and screenwriter, teamed up with BET to create the sketch show series “Sistas” in 2019. Andrea Barnes (Kj Smith), Daniella King (Mignon), Karen Mott (Ebony Obsidian), and Sabrina Hollins are four 30-something ladies (Novi Brown).

They hail from diverse layers of society, but they embrace the highs and lows of digital networking meddling with practical partnership norms, as well as the difficulties of intricate dating situations, professions, and the peaks.

In its first two runs, “Sisters” gathered a diverse audience of spectators. This narrative appeals to women all across the globe, and Perry’s “Sistas” captures it with authenticity, passion, and a tight relationship between the main women characters.

The acclaimed parody has three seasons under its belt, all three of which have been highly welcomed by African-American audiences. Many individuals have criticized the program for its terrible performances, lack of charisma, and erroneous portrayal of the LGBTQ community. As per some spectators, it has also been condemned for misrepresenting African women.

Notwithstanding the poor feedback, the program has a devoted fan base. The show’s second season had the highest ratings of any televised drama, owing entirely to the enthusiastic response from the African American public.

What Our Critic Has To Say About It?

Considering the backlash that the series had to face, it might be pretty obvious to some people about not watching it even once. However, it is recommended that you all go and watch it once, considering its praise amongst the African- American audience.

Things are portrayed wrongfully, no doubt. However, topics like LGBTQ are sometimes over-complicated, making it difficult for everyone to understand. If you want to watch it, it is highly suggested of you, get rid of all the preconceived notions.

When Was The Third Season Released?

In January 2021, right before Season 2 ended in March 2021, BET approved a third season of “Sistas.”Considering “Sistas” is among BET’s most successful series, it makes perfect sense to extend it for additional seasons. Season 2 likewise finished on a dramatic teaser, so viewers awaited the second series of programs to tie up the plot. On Wednesday, June 9, 2021, Season 3 premiered on the platform.

The only word in the dictionary which can describe Lokesh well is "Curious". He is a man who sits in the corner of a café, sipping his coffee and watch others and write about them having a good time. Addicted to bettering himself each day. An impressive introvert who finds his home in the places he travels. It's either the power of universe or sunsets that sets his soul free. In between, He can be found wrapped in his own bubble, knitting stories even before the sun rises!
