Snowdrop is a popular South Korean television series and the first K-Drama on Disney+. For viewers in South Korea, it is broadcasted on television. People who have been eagerly watching the 14 episodes need no introduction to the series. But for others, it is a love story with unique elements added to it due to the complexity of the male protagonist Lim Soo-ho and the time the story is set in.

What’s It About?
The story is set in the last two months of the year 1987. It is a year of great historical importance in South Korea. The year saw a massive protest that ushered in the general democratic and fair election, ending the dictatorial rule the country was under then.
Lim Soo-ho appears as a male graduate student who was discovered badly injured by a female university student named Eun Young-to. She rescued him, nursed him, and hid him in her room at the university. Lim is hiding from the government, and Eun helps him. They indulge in a romantic relationship that is not as simple as it could have been. Lim is not the person he pretends to be, and his layered personal life impacts the life of the female protagonist and the bond they share.
How Does It End?
A K-Drama set in a people of the volatile political scenario in a country is bound to be dark. Especially considering the backgrounds of the two protagonists- one the son of the Head of The United Front Department in North Korea, and the other the daughter of the Chief of South Korea’s National Security Agency, their relationship is likely to end abruptly.
Moreover, their relationship worsened since episode 7 and showed no sign of a happy ending. Death of Eun Young-ro at the end has been something viewers had been predicting since the first few episodes. But to find out what happens, you’ve to watch the final two episodes.
