The popular comedy-drama series from America, Space Force, was released with its first season back on May 29, 2020. Steve Carell and Greg Daniels have collaboratively created the series. The former also performed in the show alongside Ben Schwartz, Lisa Kudrow, John Malkovich, Diana Silvers, Jimmy O. Yang, and Tawny Newsome.
Produced by the trio Caroline James, Michael Maccarone, and Lauren Houseman, the story revolves around a bunch of individuals who have been given the responsibility to establish the United States Space Force, the 6th branch of Armed Forces of the United States.
With that said, we would now share some of the updates regarding the Season 2 of Space Force.
When Will Space Force Season 2 Be Released?
Having gotten its renewal in November last year, the series began shooting in Vancouver for the second edition in May and wrapped it up by June. By going through these facts, it becomes evident that the fans might be able to see the series by the end of this year, but unfortunately, it isn’t the case.
Firstly, the trailer for the show, which generally becomes available a month or two prior to the release date, hasn’t been out yet. Also, the November list of shows to be released on Netflix this year is already out, and season 2 of Space Force is not on it.
Coming to December 2021, it seems rather unlikely for the show to come out because release slots are rather meager because most of the shows and movies already know the airing date.
This ultimately shifts the second installment of the show to next year. Thus, the Space Force Season 2 can be expected in early 2022, somewhere in January or February.
Who Can All Be There In Space Force Season 2?
Since the cast for the season has been commendable, it is likely that all the characters might reprise their roles for the upcoming season. This includes John Malkovich, Steve Carell, Diana Silvers, Lisa Kudrow, Tawny Newsome, Roy Wood Jr., Jimmy O. Yang, Noah Emmerich, Spencer House, Ben Schwartz, Don Lake, Alex Sparrows, Jessica St. Clair, and others.
However, some new faces might also pop up in this season, whose list will be announced by Netflix soon.
What Can Be Expected From Season 2 Of Space Force?
Since no updates have been shared by Netflix lately, the plot for the second season is also under wraps. However, it can be expected that the story for the upcoming edition might begin from where it ended in the season 1 finale.
It was seen that to deal with the scenario created by Gen Kick Grabaston, and POTUS, Gen Naird headed back to the Space Force. Towards the end of the previous season, it was seen that the scientists of China dismantled the US base, and consequently Chinese base on the moon was kind of destroyed by the US astronauts. Thus, both sides have nothing to thrive on the moon as of now.
What will happen now? How will the situation be dealt with? Well, to find out the answers, fans will have to wait for season 2 of Space Force to air on Netflix soon.
