This is somewhat the reflection of the new musical comedy-drama which might be hitting the screens in a very short period of time. The Big Leap’s first 2 episodes can be watched online. So, this article might help to attain that comfortable place from where you can decide whether you want to go to this show or not.
What is The Big Leap About!
The Big Leap, as the name suggests is about taking big steps just to achieve the goal of life. This drama consists of an ensemble cast of people who are seeking second chances just only to achieve their dream which is to be on stage. These all people are different individuals who are facing hurdles at their individual levels.
Eventually, Life gives them a chance where they will get to audition for the upcoming reality show called ‘The Big Leap’ who is looking for diverse and extraordinary talents. The story is quite inspired by a British reality show which has been dramatized for the new Fox show.
One unique thing about the show is the efforts put out by the director as the cameraman will be moving around throughout just to capture the beach and every scene of the drama.
What is Its Inspiration!
The concept of the drama is based on the idea of a 2014 hit British reality show known by the name Big Ballet which was brought into life through narration by none other than the Oscar-winner Olivia Colman. It followed the story about the lives of a group of amateur dancers who no sooner did realize that their dream was to perform “Swan Lake”. In the series, it can be seen that these dancers have to juggle between their passion which is dancing, and other works.
Were There Any Delays in Release?
The Big Leap series was created by Liz Heldens who had created the NBC drama known by the name Deception. She told at the ATX Television Festival that she had written it around six years back eventually rewriting it in 2019 before it was officially decided to bring it on screen in March 2020. But the pandemic lead to the delay making it impossible to get completed on the given date.
The drama consists of quite a crispy cast starring Scott Foley, Piper Perabo, and Teri Polo with Jason Winer, Liz Heldens, Sue Naegle. The show will be available on 20th on Television, Fox Entertainment.
The dance and musical shows are quite an inspiration. And if we start giving the examples we might have to spend another read on some similar topic.
