The fans keenly anticipate the release date of The Boys season 3. However, it is unlikely that the coming season will arrive on Amazon Prime Video in 2021. However, executive producer Seth Rogen announced in July 2020 last year that they are coming through with its third season because of the show’s popularity. It is one of the most successful tv series running on Amazon Prime; hence the early renewal of season three was no surprise for the fans.

Why is Amazon Prime Video delaying the Release of the Boys Season 3?

The Boys Season 3 Cast

The filming for season 3 of The Boys was initiated on February 24 this year. According to the plan, it is expected to carry on till September this year, given that there will be no delays in the production schedule. In late April, Laz Alonso had revealed that they were one-fourth through the production of the series. In mid-July, it was reported that only two episodes were left to be filmed. However, it does not here end with the filming.

There are several post-production works that the team needs to take care of, due to which Amazon Prime Video is delaying the release of the coming season. The first season of The Boys had taken four months to complete the filming process, while the following season had taken five months. Because of the ongoing pandemic crisis, the production schedule is a bit challenging, and hence it is likely that production will take longer.

As of now, Amazon Prime Video has not revealed any news about the release date of the third season of The Boys. However, it is not likely that the coming season will release this year, and it may make it to the streaming platform in mid-2022.

Who is in the Cast of the Boys Season 3?

The cast members for the coming season include Antony Starr as Homelander, Jack Quaid as Hughie Campbell, and Laz Alonso as Mother’s Milk. In addition, Nate Mitchell is back as Black Noir, Karen Fukuhara as Kimiko, and Erin Moriarty as Annie or Starlight. Besides them, the other cast members reprising their roles are Chace Crawford as The Deep, Karl Urban as Billy Butcher, Dominique McElligott as Queen Maeve, and TomerKapon as Frenchie, among others.

The members who will be joining the cast of The Boys season three are Sean Patrick Flanery in the role of Gunpowder. Other new additions include Nick Wechsler as Blue Hawk and Supersonic by Miles Gaston Villanueva. In addition, Jensen Ackles will appear in The Boys as Soldier Boy.

What is the Plot of The Boys Season 3?

The Boys Season 3 Character

The coming season may focus majorly on the Congresswoman, Victoria Neuman. Hughie now works for her, and there were major ramifications at the end of the second season. Is Neuman against the Vought or with them? It was revealed that The Boys season 3 would develop the ‘Herogasm’ plotline, and Payback will have a new superhero team.

Is there a trailer for The Boys Season 3?

As of now, there is no trailer available for The Boys season 3. The trailer is expected to release once the release date comes through.

The Boys season 3 is still in its filming process, and hence Amazon Prime Video has not revealed any details about its release date. Till then, you can watch the previous two seasons of The Boys exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.
