The Crown Season 6: Is It Happening? When Was It Confirmed?
Peter Morgan has changed his mind on putting an end on The Crown after just five seasons. This means that the Netflix series will hit the screens for a sixth season.
Creator Morgan said that when they began to debate about the plot for the season 5.
It became crystal clear that if they want to do fair play to the richness and complexity of the story. To achieve that, they should return to the initial plan and go for six seasons.
To clear out any confusion, Series six will not bring the audience any closer to the present-day. Instead, it will solely enable us to cover the same era with more significant details.
The change of mind happened just six months after Netflix’s confirmation that Season 5 will be the end.
It means that Imelda Staunton ( the new Queen Elizabeth II ), will follow her antecedents in filming two seasons. And, so will Lesley Manville, who was announced as Princess Margaret just last week.
The Crown Season 6: Who All Will Be Starring In The Series?

The pivotal characters Claire Foy and Olivia Colman as Queen Elizabeth II, Matt Smith and Tobias Menzies playing the role of Prince Philip (Duke of Edinburgh) and Vanessa Kirby and Helena Bonham Carter playing the role of Princess Margaret (Countess of Snowdon) also signed up for two seasons each.
