The March 20thepisode of The Equalizer was the season finale of the Crime Drama TV Show. Originally, The Equalizer was a Spy Thriller Show in the Late 1985. The show has followed the life of a retired Intelligence Agent. Now that he is retired he finds employment at The Equalizer where he uses the skills, he mastered from his other life to help folks. To ease his Guilty Conscience, he insisted on doing his newfound employment free of charge. The show ran for 4 seasons and had over 85 episodes. The show last aired on the 24th of August 1989.
We don’t hear anything about The Equalizer till 2014 when the first film of The Equalizer movie premiered followed by the second movie in 2018. The release date for the 3rd movie is still unknown. However, 2021 saw the release of the rebooted TV Series with the same name. This time around the role of The Equalizer went to a Woman for the first time. The show has finished airing its second season and fans are eagerly waiting for the release of the next season

The show started back in early 2021. Specifically, on the 7th of February 2021. Season 2 of the show premiered on the 10th of October of the same year. Season 1 ran for a total of 10 episodes while season 2 ran for 13. The episode duration for both seasons was 43 Minutes. The show has an IMDB rating of 5.3 and a Rotten Tomatoes rating of 67%. The show has been rebooted twice and that speaks a lot of the concept and the fan base.
It doesn’t matter if you are an OG fan from the 1980 or just know of the Rebooted Versions. I love the fact that this time around the lead is Woman. The role of the Secret Agent is almost exclusively played by a man forever. It’s nice to see someone abolishing the old Gender Norms. As for where to watch the show. You can watch the show either on the CBS Channel or on the Channels Official website. As of now, no other Streaming services house the show.
What Happened in the Season Finale?
In the finale we see McCall trying to find a Kidnapped Dante. Let’s get into the Details. Spoiler Alert in case you haven’t seen the episode yet. Dante was at the Gas Station getting Gas as any normal person would do. A few deputies approach him claiming he matched the description of a Burglary Suspect.
They tried to search Dante’s car without a warrant to which he Protested. The corrupt cops in their fit of rage tased and knocked him out. Realizing Dante was also a Cop the deputies realize their mistake. And to Prevent any backlash they decide to Kidnap Him.
What the cops didn’t know was Dante’s Kids were witnessing all of it. The boys call McCall as their father insisted on them memories her Number in case of an Emergency. McCall goes to the local Sheriff’s Office after making sure the kids were safe. The town Sheriff is useless as he refuses to even Acknowledge McCall due to her Skin color. The scene then cuts to a Hallucinating Dante recalling past events.
The Rescue
When Dante came back to reality, he is met by the flustered Deputies who want to kill him to Avoid Jail Time. Dante pleads with them that he has a Family and how he left his kids at the Gas Station. While McCall finds out who took Dante.
After looking into their pasts, she found out that a similar incident happened in the Deputy’s past and finds the location of the Warehouse. At the location, she found blood and a secret message from Dante which led her to his location. He was rushed to the hospital and it would seem that he survived the whole ordeal. Much to the relief of his friends, family, and collogues.
The Aftermath

McCall is livid that something like this happened. Madder that it happened to someone so close to her. Dante’s Kidnapping hit a cord with her. She will make sure everyone who was involved will pay even if it’s the last thing she does. What measures will she use to bring the accused to Light?
