The Flash: Season 8 Recap Till Now
The 8th season of The Flash so far consisted of 2 story arcs- The Armageddon and Interlude-II.
The Armageddon is a 5-part event featuring the supervillain- Despero, a speedster from the future. He claims that Barry Allen ran at a speed so fast that at Despero’s point time in the future, he managed to destroy The Earth. This results in a scuffle between him and Barry, who then proceeds to reveal his identity to him and gain a week to prove his innocence.
It is later revealed that Eddie Thawne, a speedster caused a Reverse-Flashpoint timeline, consequently removing Barry’s existence and himself from becoming The Flash. As the event slowly takes place, Barry keeps losing his sanity to an extent of attempts to strip off his powers. However, when Damien Darhk of the Reverse Flashpoint timeline learns his daughter is alive in the original timeline, he proceeds to help Flash regain his old timeline and defeat Thawne. This causes Thawne’s erasure to occur, and thus he urges Flash to save him. This causes a conflict between Barry and Despero.
Barry defeats Despero by technology from Chester, by depowering him. He then drains Thawne’s speed force power thus preventing his erasure, and is placed under A.R.G.U.S. custody.
Episode 6th and 7th of The Flash features the Story Arc- Interlude-II. It is a mini-plot arc featuring Bart and Nora using their powers to repair the cracks in the timeline and restore it to their original state. The 7th episode primarily focuses on Barry and Kramer working together to catch Goldface (Keith).

He later finds evidence to support Jaco’s innocence. Jaco, who was about to explode lava below the city as an act of retaliation assists Flash in reversing his actions.
The 9th episode is a continuation of this plot, as it will feature the Mysterious Fire Meta-Human attacking STAR Labs, and is expected to feature a battle between Barry and the killer.
