The Plot of The King’s Affection
The King’s Affection is a legendary romance set in the Joseon Dynasty of South Korea. Partner of the Crown Prince gives birth to twins. This wasn’t considered a good sign in that period. The Crown Prince passes an order to kill his daughter. Instead of this, she is secretly taken out of the palace, and her identity is kept hidden from all.
After a few years, the son dies, and the wife of the Crown Prince brings their daughter back. She takes the place of his brother Prince Lee Hwi. One fine day there comes a young teacher Jung Ji-Woon. He hails from a noble family and is respected by everyone. This imposter prince starts to develop feelings for him.

Episode 1 of the show came on October 11, 2021. Just after the release of the trailer of the show, fans went crazy over the drama. It showed how the Crown Prince attempted to kill his very own blood- his daughter. It was the love of a mother that kept her safe and hidden.
Later on, when the son dies, she has to take his place. This secret is only known to her mother and herself. Things take a turn when a handsome young teacher Jung Ji Won comes into her life.
The runtime of the first episode is 70 minutes, and it is about Yi Hwi noticing a court maid who looks just like him. This may be his mother’s worst nightmare as her daughter’s identity must remain hidden for the sake of everyone.
