What Happened in the Last Episode?

Episode 3 ended on an unusually hopeful note- but managed nevertheless, to keep us wondering what happens next. With Coydog’s hidden treasure emerging from within the folds of the old man’s memory, Ptolemy was led into a desperate search.

Floorboards were turned in and about, carpets were ravaged and torn apart. We were let in on Ptolemy’s past through ‘Sensia’; the old man found a few keys to his present from within these flashes. We see Sensia and Ptolemy come together to make love in his memories and her abusive ex-boyfriend shows up, threatening to physically harm our protagonist. Sensia then begins firing at him numerous times. As one bullet goes through a particular floorboard, present Ptolemy’s memory of the treasure is reinstated.

What Next?

We can only guess what happens in the fourth episode. The series is, after all, being hailed for its unexpected turns and deep psychological delvings. It’s a story that deals with human memory and uncertainty, the fleeting nature of life, and a dark mystery that hides within all of this.

The opening scene with Ptolemy and the gun will probably be given more context. And we can hope to see more of the life that our old man has lived; more flashbacks also mean more questions, and a few more answers. Will they find the treasure? What is the treasure? We can only theorize and wait.

With the rise of OTT, content has become more accessible than ever before. There is so much to watch, and yet with the world getting back on its feet, so little time to watch it all. A question that bugs are all is that of what to watch and what to skip.

We would suggest you give the miniseries a chance. It is fast-paced as it is well executed- it is as intriguing as it is refreshing. The format of shifting from the old man Ptolemy to his sharp youthful days maintains an incredible rhythm, going from dark and brooding to fast and eventful. Audiences have warmed up to the show quite quickly, within three episodes to be exact. Reviews have called it riveting and exquisite in execution. What more could we ask for from a Samuel L Jackson star?

The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey are definitely worth the watch. Let us know your thoughts about it, and whether you’re as excited as we are to find out what happens next!
