Finally, Netflix has given us the confirmation for its next upcoming Top Boy installment on its platform. Starting with good news, the show by Netflix has been confirmed for its arrival on the streaming service 18th of March this year.
Top Boy had previously shown its return back in 2019 after facing a six-year hiatus and difficulties in its previous. But, with all the resurrection received mixed with a resoundingly favorable reception from both old and new fans, the show was able to gain the hearts of many out there.
After the first season, the second new season for the Top Boy series was given renewal by Netflix. Still, sadly, the show got canceled by Channel 4 back in 2014, with just eight episodes in total, which showed its major focus on Dushane and Sully, who were continuing to expand their drug empire on Summerhouse turf.
Although, later, things went well and got back on track as Drake, a major admirer of the series, decided to bring back the show again! And, with the collaboration with Netflix, the show got its ten-part revival after Channel 4 shelved the series back in 2013. But, that’s all about the introduction of the series; now, let’s just talk about the upcoming fourth new season.
Is the Premiering Confirmed for Top Boy Season 4?
Things started after Ashley Walters teased all of his fans with a new promotional poster giving us the hints for the release of the fourth new season of Top Boy by the end of January 2022. However, leaving the hints, yes, Netflix later confirmed the premiere date, and we mentioned above, the new season for the show will be officially premiering on Netflix on March 18 this year.
Later, Ashley Walters even revealed updates on Capital XTRA, who were doing the filming works for Top Boy, which began last year. The clip also showed how the production was going on with the new year under tight COVID-19 restrictions.
Even Netflix revealed a clip video showing Ashley Walters and Kano, the production set of Top Boy’s fourth new season. The clip showed the stars announcing that they were filming the next season of their criminal drama series, which definitely hints us about Toy Boy only.

Let’s talk about the casting members now! First, of course, we will see Ashley Walters continuing to appear again for the iconic role of the character, Dushane, alongside Kano, whose actual name is Kane Robinson’s character, portrayed by Sully. Michael Ward will be portraying the role of Jamie, Little Simz will be playing the role of Shelley, and Jasmine Jobson will be reprising for the popular role of fearsome Jaq.
Regarding Jamie’s brothers, here again, the previous characters, Hope Ikpoku Jr. and Araloyin Oshunremi, will be appearing again, and the stars who took their roles, including Aaron and Steph, respectively will be appearing back again reprising their roles. Spoilers on Plotline for Season 4
With the previous season-ending, Dushane offered a lifeline to the incarcerated Jamie, who fortunately landed in prison after accepting and taking all the responsibility for his siblings’ incarceration.
After taking the footage showing Atz, who was placing a gun in a backpack in Jamie’s home, Dushane gave Jamie a chance to work for Dushane and join his group to share that footage which can be a chit for him to get out of his imprisonment. So maybe, the plotline for season 4 will follow the aftermath events showing Jamie working for Dushane and more.
