Into the Night Season 2 has been long-awaited, especially since it left the viewers on such a cliffhanger. The Belgian Sci-fi has left us with a lot of questions. Hopefully, most of them get answered with the upcoming season. It’s a known fact that the series is an adaptation of Jacek Dukaj’s sci-fi novel titled The Old Axolotl. The show debuted on Netflix on May 1, 2020, with six episodes.
Just 2 months after the first season, Netflix renewed the show for the second season. In the first season of Into the Night, the makers lightly just lightly touched the novel. Hence, Season 2 can be full of surprises. Till now, all the members of the cast are seen in the second season trailer, all alive.
The series begins with hijackers hijacking a red-eye flight full of passengers from Brussels. The hijacker called Terenzio happens to be an Italian NATO soldier. He demands an early take-off after forcing his way into the commercial aircraft. A handful of people in the aircraft are survivors of a global event that is deadly. This kind of event happens from direct exposure to sunlight.

After a few more days, fans will be able to see the second season on Netflix finally. Season 2 of Into The Night will release on September 8, 2021.
What can Fans Expect in Season 2?
Into the Night released the trailer for its next season. It resumes from Day 9 at the bunker. Everybody there has made the bunker their home. However, civilians are at the military facility under the command of the military.
It could be seen from the glimpses that all food left caught fire in the bunker later in the trailer. Now they will have to go to Norway to get the seeds. Since they are running short on time, they only have a day to get the seeds back. The trailer also teased some miss happenings between soldiers and the civilians. It seems like there’s going to be a lot of survival drama. And also, it looks like lots of action sequences as well.
When the show ended, there was a fight outburst that left Ayaz and Terenzio injured. Sylvie handcuffs Terenzio. Rik and Ayaz reunite with each other in the NATO headquarters. The passengers lay out a plan to calculate the time pressure they will undergo in Bulgaria. They decide to take Terenzio with them. However, he was unable to free himself; hence he just watched the sunrise. And then submitted to its rays. On the other side, Sylvi’s group can find the bunker and settle in.
Now the story goes on, where the group will continue their quest to get rid of this problem. They will have to race against the time to save the food in the bunker and avoid it setting on fire. If the drama continues inside of the bunker, then there will be huge trouble. But this can be quite the possibility.
