The crime drama is a genre of shows and movies that leaves the human mind begging for more. Suspense, thrill, action, all these things appeal to the masses, especially to young adults. CBS’s police procedural drama Criminal Minds is one such show. In September 2005, the show halted its 15-year run in February 2020, with 15 seasons and several spin-offs. Like every other long-format show, the cast of Criminal Minds, too, underwent many changes.
However, the show continues to have a loyal fan following. Over the years, the show took viewers on a journey into the brains of disturbed serial killers to not only show us how they plan and execute their missions and how the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) use criminal profiling to stop them from claiming their next victim.

The X-Factor that makes Criminal Minds stand out from other genre shows is that the show focuses on the criminal rather than the crime. The BAU, consisting of Jason, Aaron Elle, Derek, Spencer, Jennifer, and Penelope, often relies on behavioral analysis and profiling skills to carry out their investigative work. Rather than just being a show on criminal profiling, it also explores the tough life and requirements of the crime experts. Criminal Minds star Paget Brewster reveals that Paramount +is trying to revive the main cast from the final four seasons of the criminal drama series, owing to its huge following.
The revival is still in the negotiating stages, so nothing is confirmed as of now. However, it does seem like Paramount + is very interested in bringing the series back, especially since it’s a very strong performer on streaming platforms. Stay tuned for more updates on the much-awaited show.
