The movie is based on a real story of an Uber driver who went on a killing spree to achieve fame. The movie is inspired by real-life events that took place in Southern California and Arkansas.

What is Spree About?
Spree is about a person named Kurt Kunkle who is desperate to become famous and gain followers on social media. It starts when Kurt realizes that the boy he used to babysit is now famous on social media and has over a million followers. Kurt then gets a job at a rideshare company named Spree. He installs cameras at several angles in his cab and live streams the entire ride. He teaches his followers how to get famous and his means know no bounds. However, he kills his passengers by giving them poisoned water to drink. Initially, the viewers watching Kurt’s live streams think that the murders are fake and everything is scripted. But things start to get serious when his passengers and the audience realize that he is a cynic for media attention.
