Spree is an American Comedy Horror movie that was originally released on 14 August 2020 in the United States. Eugene Kotlyarenko has directed it. The movie is based on a real story of an Uber driver who went on a killing spree to achieve fame. The movie is inspired by real-life events that took place in Southern California and Arkansas.

Spree was originally released in 2020 in cinemas and on DVDs and Blu-ray. But in 2022, the film was released again on HBO Max. Currently, Spree is available for streaming on Hulu. Viewers with a Hulu Subscription can watch the movie on the streaming platform under the horror/ thriller section. The film can also be rented or bought from Amazon Prime Video, Google Play, iTunes, and Vudu.

Spree is a movie about a driver on a killing spree. The movie has a lot of violence and contains the use of strong and adult language. Visuals may not be pleasant for children as it contains blood and gore, killing and murders, etc. Substance use is also shown multiple times in the movie. In different countries, Spree is provided with different ratings but mostly the movie is rated GB-15, which means that people below the age of fifteen years are not advised to watch the movie.
Spree is a rather complicated movie. Through the blood and horror of the cynicism driven by the hunger for fame and followers. The film tries to show the monstrosities a human mind can be capable of. The psychology of such people is sometimes hard to understand or explain. After a point of time, there is no reasonable explanation for their actions. Nevertheless, the directors and the writers of the movie did a commendable job in depicting the horrific story. The Stranger Things star, Joe Keery who played the role of Kurt Kunkle received praise for the dedication he put into this difficult role.

Spree received five nominations in 2020 for Best Film, and Best Feature Film, and Joke Keery was nominated for Best Breakthrough by Sunset Film Circle Award. The movie has an overall rating of 5.9 out of 10 on IMDb and an aggregate score of sixty-eight percent on Rotten Tomatoes.

Spree is about a person named Kurt Kunkle who is desperate to become famous and gain followers on social media. It starts when Kurt realizes that the boy he used to babysit is now famous on social media and has over a million followers. Kurt then gets a job at a rideshare company named Spree. He installs cameras at several angles in his cab and live streams the entire ride. He teaches his followers how to get famous and his means know no bounds. However, he kills his passengers by giving them poisoned water to drink. Initially, the viewers watching Kurt’s live streams think that the murders are fake and everything is scripted. But things start to get serious when his passengers and the audience realize that he is a cynic for media attention.
