‘Intimacy,’ which is also known for the name ‘Intimidad,’ is a Spanish-based television franchise on Netflix. The franchise depicts what happens when your life becomes a discussion with everybody. The story follows the lives of four women who were forced to establish a balance between their private and public lives whenever the political sex film was leaked to the media for all to see.

Netflix’s Intimacy Filming Location
‘Intimacy’ appears in Spain, namely in the Basque Country. Because the plot is set in Spain, the production team adds realism to the series by shooting in a similar European location. The principal photography for the Netflix show’s debut cycle began in June last year and may have ended in October of the same year.
The Basque Country, also known as the Basque Autonomous Community, is located in northern Spain and is home to three Basque regions: lava, Biscay, and Gipuzkoa.

According to reports, a large portion of season 1 of the television series was shot in the city at EITB’s (Euskal Irrati Telebista) base camp. EITB, located at Capuchinos de Basurtu Kalea 2 in Bilbao, is known as the biggest media group in the Basque Country, with four in-house TV stations and five radio transmissions.
Production during Covid times
The actors and crew of ‘Intimacy’ shoot in a variety of locations within the media organization’s central command, including sets, tunnels, and the structure’s hallway. A few rooms are also used to hold the whole presenting group of the series.
According to sources, the recording for the main season was completed with strict safety precautions in place, such as wearing veils at all times save while shooting due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
While most of the action for the first season took place in and around Bilbao, the production team ventured south and shot a few key sequences midway between Bilbao and Madrid.
Furthermore, in June 2021, actors and crew members were observed filming a handful of ocean-side sequences on the Laga ocean side. It’s in the town of Ibarranguelu, about an hour’s drive east of Bilbao.
