The fan-favorite anime series Demon Slayer completed its second season on February 13, 2022. The last episode, named 2as No Matter How Many Lives, came for longer than usual for the sad fans. The episode is 45 minutes long. The action-filled 10th episode succeeded in being one of the all-time best episodes of Demon Slayer while also leaving the fans waiting eagerly for the next and the final episode.
On the other hand, the finale episode of season 2 was comparatively a calmer episode with emotional disclosures, which was a perfect farewell storyline for season 2 of Demon Slayer. The episode was released at 8:00 AM PST.
A Quick Recap of Episode 11!
Nezuko’s blood demon art at play saves the day! The 10th episode ended with suspense leaving the fans to wonder if or not the four demon slayers were alive after the explosion of the demon bodies.
After a quick recap of the actions of the 10th episode, the 11th episode portrayed Nezuko, Tanjiro’s sister who can become an upper-class demon, does the blood demon art to save the four demon slayers and burn away the demon poison in their body that was killing them slowly.
Another captain Obanai Iguro comes to the scene after the disaster, and Uzui Tengen declares his retirement. He was then taken home with the help of his three wives.
The Flashbacks of Gyutaro
The heads of the two slaughtered demon siblings were found blaming each other for their death by Tanjiro. Daki said how ugly her brother was, and it seemed they weren’t related by blood, and Gyutaro, in reply, said she would have never survived if not for him. Tanjiro then blocks the mouth of Gyutaro with his hand and says to him that when the whole world was against them, they were there for each other.
Finally, both realize their mistakes, and Daki’s head vanishes in flames erasing her existence from the world. Gyutaro then has flashbacks of his human life where he was born in the lowest class in the Entertainment district where beauty meant everything. His mother saw him as a burden, who tortured him for being ugly and useless, whereas his sister Ume(Daki’s human name) was known for her beauty.
She worked as a dancer for the higher class people, and he as the one keeping records of the debts. Both siblings met a tragic end at a samyurai and later were turned into demons. The flashbacks of Gyutaro were enough to make fans realize how victims of society at times end up being the worst of demons.
Speculations for the Next Season
In the latest 11th episode, Akaza, a higher rank demon, to Infinity Castle by Muzan. Akaza was seen wondering the issue must be serious as an invitation to the infinity castle wasn’t an everyday thing. The next part of Demon Slayer might show the demons come up with something big against the demon slayers and humankind in general. There is an official declaration of the next season that will deal with the Swordsmith Village Arc.
Also, according to the manga series of Demon Slayer, the series shouldn’t end anytime soon as there are many untold stories to be told. If the next part is made into a movie, somewhat like after the first part, or is made into a series, it depends on the show’s makers. For the time, we can hope for the best and for our favorite Demon Slayers and childlike demon Nezuko to be back into our lives as soon as possible!
