How Do They Get To The Making Of The Film?
Alex Kurtzman, the co-creator and executive producer of the show, asked Akiva to join the series as a co-producer. Akiva thought they were making a prequel to Star Trek: the Original series because he had heard such baseless rumors on the internet. He was discouraged to hear otherwise, and his idea led to Enterprise’s introduction in the finale of season one.
In the year 2018, Alex had signed a five-year deal with CBS television studios to expand the Star Trek franchise beyond Discovery making various new series, mini-series, and animated series.
