The Batman starring Robert Pattinson is one of the many changes happening in the DC universe. Previously Batman was played by Ben Affleck and Christian Bale. But the makers of the movie replaced them after the Batman trilogy with Robert Pattinson.
The DC universe is dark, cold, and inconsistent with their movies. However, this year the DC universe is serving the fans with four upcoming movies and a new superhero, Black Adam, played by Dwane Johnson. The three movies will follow after the release of The Batman on March 4, 2022. The Black Adam is set to release on July 29, 2022. The Flash on November 4, 2022, and Aquaman and the lost kingdom on December 16, 2022.
Isn’t it ironic, that Robert Pattinson was a vampire in the Twilight Saga! Oh, all that craze for his pale skin and mysterious personality. Will the new Batman movie, possibly raise a whole new fandom? Robert Pattinson obviously went under some physical changes to fit the role of the broody, depressed, Batman.
What we know about the movie
A solo Batman movie is finally releasing after much hiatus but- it is not part of the DC universe. Like Marvel, DC is also exploring the multiverse genre for their superheroes. It is extending the universe but Batman won’t be a part as it would be a mess to incorporate Batman and his universe.
The movie received mind-blowing reviews on its premiere; Calling it an Oscar-worthy movie and Robert Pattinson as one of the greatest actors of all time. The show first premiered on February 23, 2022, in London, and everyone who has seen the movie said it is the darkest Batman movie to date, testing the PG 13.
The Batman starring Robert Pattinson has a more detective essence to it rather than a superhero movie. We will get to see the more darker and realistic side of Batman compared to other Batmans. The Batman becomes a somewhat undercover detective trying to catch the Riddler, causing mayhem in Gotham. The trailer also suggested a connection of this Riddler to his family. So, some old wounds are definitely going to bleed again.
When Can you Watch?
The new Batman movie is releasing on March 4, 2022, globally. Originally set to release on June 25, 2021, the movie saw a couple of release dates but is now finally settling for March 4, 2022.
However, Warner Bros. has decided to not release the movie anywhere in Russia due to Russia invading Ukraine.
Where to Watch Online?
The new Batman movie is not available on any of the online streaming sites currently and won’t be for at least a month after the official release. Their experience with a same-day stream with Dune, The Suicide Squad, and The Matrix Resurrections suggested that it is the reason for it not doing so well in the box office.
Since it is a DC movie, you can stream it on HBO Max, a few days or weeks after the first theatrical release. However, HBO Max is not available in all countries and regions. So for the ones who don’t come under the HBO Max jurisdiction, you’ll have to wait for updates.
Luckily the people in the U.K are rumored to have a release on Now Cinema as even they have an existing deal with the Warner Bros. Meanwhile, in Canada, Crave could be your possible rescue.
