New Line Cinema and Warner Bros. Animation in a joint venture, along with Sola Entertainment will be working on this theatrical original anime feature movie. Recently, it dropped the first image which is a piece of concept art. This art depicts an immense and massive attack on the hilltop capital of Edoras, Rohan. The Dunlendings attack and their structure are strikingly similar to the original movies.

According to Warner Bros Pictures Group Chairman, Toby Emmerich, the epic portrayal of Middle Earth will be unlike anything that the fans have previously seen before. The creative visionaries will bring the cinematic portrayal to new heights.
The anime movie will be depicting a bloody saga behind the fortress, Helm’s Deep which appeared in LOTR: The Two Towers.
It will revolve around Rohan’s legendary King, Helm Hammerhand whose reign was filled with intense, extended, and costly war. The events take place in the Second Age of Middle Earth, covering the bloody battles that occurred in Helm Hammerhand’s reign.
These occurring unfolded two centuries, roughly 260 years prior to the events of the “LOTR” movies. A rich, new complex saga is on the way and will be depicting one of the greatest battles in Middle Earth.
